The 76ers traded Andre Iguodala to Denver in the middle of the Summer Olympics as part of the massive four-team trade that landed the Sixers center Andrew Bynum and shooting guard Jason Richardson.

On Wednesday, Iguodala and the Nuggets are scheduled to open the regular season at the Wells Fargo Center.

"I really haven't thought about" returning to Philadelphia, Iguodala told Ben Hochman of the Denver Post on Monday. "I'm really trying to focus on what I can control, and that's our mind-set."

Asked about the reception he anticipates when he is introduced, Iguodala said he did not know what to expect.

"I have no clue," Iguodala said. "It's just basketball. It's not like I don't care about the fans. But whether it's a warm or a cold welcome, just because it's that first game, you really want to get off on a good start.

Denver coach George Karl remembered when he was booed the first time he returned to Cleveland, the site of his first coaching job, as the new coach of the Golden State Warriors.

"The first time you do it, it's interesting," Karl said. "Purvis Short came up to me and said, 'They only boo you because they respect you.' I remember that line. They don't boo people they don't care about."
