WILLINGBORO - Two local inductees into the R & B Music Hall of Fame will host a discussion on how to break into the music industry. The event will be Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Willingboro Library.

The inductees, radio disc jockey Tim Marshall and music journalist Larry Cotton, both of Willingboro, will be guests of Hold On to Education, a local organization that provides services to students. The group's program director is jazz recording artist and former educator Marilyn L. Marshall of Willingboro.

"The event at the community is a chance for us to give back to the community," said Tim Marshall, who, along with Cotton, is an inaugural inductee into the hall of fame.

Their fellow inductees include James Brown, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Martha and the Vandellas, the Temptations, and the Supremes.

The evening of the workshop will also be the first hometown recognition of the local inductees.

On Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the library, Hold On to Education is sponsoring a workshop for college-bound athletes that delves into the recruiting process and athletic scholarships.

On Nov. 13, the group will hold a workshop on college financial aid and scholarships, also at 7 p.m. at the library.

All the programs are free.
