Burlington County College gym closed due to threat

A gym at Burlington County College is closed today due to a threat.

The school says the Physical Education Building at its Pemberton campus is closed as a "result of threats made electronically to individuals" at the center.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said the threats were "non-specific" and sent to the personal cell phones of a group of employees at the physical education center on Sunday afternoon.

Law enforcement authorities are investigating.

The college says all other campus buildings are open, though there is an increased police presence in the area.
