Bicyclist critical after collision with pickup truck

A 37-year-old bicyclist is in critical condition after he was struck by a pickup truck in the city's Kensington section.

The bicyclist was traveling westbound on the 1800 block of Lehigh Ave. about 12:30 p.m. when police believe he drifted into the eastbound lanes. The pickup's driver remained at the scene of the accident, police said.

The bike rider was being treated this afternoon at Temple University Hospital.
