A 64-year-old Chester man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of another man earlier this month, prosecutors said Monday.
Nathaniel Powell was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses in the death of Eric Potts, who was stabbed with a kitchen knife during an altercation Oct. 12 in Upper Chichester. Potts, also of Chester, died from a single stab wound to the chest.
Powell was driving with Potts as a passenger when the altercation occurred, investigators said. Powell gave police conflicting information, detectives said, and his accounts were contradicted by other witnesses. A preliminary hearing for Powell is set for Nov. 1.
