Friday Night Lights (8-9 p.m., NBC10) - The playoffs are coming! So let's put aside our little problems and focus on the game. Like that'll happen. With Taylor's (Kyle Chandler's) issues with Smash (Gaius Charles), a budding friendship between Julie and Tyra (Aimee Teegarden, Adrianne Palicki), and Jason and Lyla's (Scott Porter, Minka Kelly) engagement causing problems with Buddy (Brad Leland), it's drama time in Dillon. But that's what makes for good TV.
South Park (10-10:30 p.m., COM) - The uproar over those cartoon depictions of Muhammad fuels the two-part story "Cartoon Wars," whose target isn't the Muslim prophet but a certain other animated show. Cartman seeks to keep a controversial Family Guy episode from airing - not because he cares about Muslim sensibilities but because he hates the show. Censorship, negotiating with terrorists, and the mentality of TV writers also get the satire gun trained on them.
