NBC's This Is Us came to Philadelphia this past weekend, when a couple of the show's stars were spotted filming with NPR's Fresh Air host Terry Gross.
This Is Us stars Justin Hartley, who plays Kevin Pearson on the show, and Melanie Liburd, who plays Pearson's love interest, Zoe, filmed a scene for the show's upcoming third season at the WHYY studios in Center City on Saturday, paparazzo HughE Dillon reports. A representative at NBC confirmed that This Is Us filmed in Philly over the weekend with Gross, but did not offer further details.
Liburd debuted as Zoe on This Is Us in the show's second season, and will join the cast as a series regular in season three, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Her character previously met Hartley's Kevin in the season two finale, when she served as the photographer for Kate's (Chrissy Metz) wedding to Toby (Chris Sullivan).
Prior to her role on This Is Us, Liburd was most recently featured on Netflix's Gypsy, a psychological thriller that was canceled after one season last year. Hartley, meanwhile, has been part of the This Is Us cast since the showed debuted in 2016, and previously earned an Emmy nomination for his work on CBS's The Young and the Restless.
"When we come back, we're going to be embarking on a new chapter with them sort of discovering their romance, and their relationship, and figuring out what they are," co-showrunner Elizabeth Berger told the Hollywood Reporter of Zoe and Justin earlier this month. "We can expect to see her for a while."
