THE RUMORS are true: North Philly rapper Meek Mill and superstar Nicki Minaj are an item.

How do I know?

They cuddled up next to each other at Friday night's Wale show at the TLA. Mill's buddy Rick Ross and his gal pal, Ming Lee, were also there in support of his Maybach Music Group crew, along with local boxer-turned-designer Simon "One Punch" Carr.

A spy tells me that Minaj kept a low profile, hanging in the back with Mill, but the two were certainly canoodly.

Ross posted a photo to Instagram of the crew hanging backstage, with Minaj coyly sitting on Mill's lap.

Rumors have swirled that the two were an item, fueled partly by a recent selfie that Minaj posted to Instagram of the two of them. Mill also guested on two songs - "Buy a Heart" and "Big Daddy" - on Minaj's new album, "The Pinkprint." "Big Daddy" was heard first on Power 99 back in December.

In a newly released track of his own called "The Get Back (Freestyle)," Mill hints that he and Minaj are together: "Baddest bitch in the game wearing my chain, I'm ready." And, let's be honest, there are few ladies badder than Ms. Minaj.

Mill has been after Minaj for some time. In 2010, he tweeted, "#MYGOALIS 2 GET @NICKIMINAJ B4 SOMEBODY ELSE DO!!!!!!!!" and "#MYGOALIS 2 GET @NICKIMINAJ KNOCKED UP!!! LOL"

Hey, got to respect a guy who has goals.

Alas, Mill and Minaj's relationship has been long distance as of late as Mill has been confined to the area because of his jail stint last year due to parole violations. But, good news! Mill's parole ended yesterday, and today he will enter the probation part of his sentence, which is set to last five years. Mill is still not allowed to travel outside Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester and Bucks counties until further order from the court, per the docket.

Giroux gets cute

Six-year-old mega-Flyers fan Kohlsen Fisher went viral over the holidays after he was disgusted when he received a Sidney Crosby jersey as a gag gift for Christmas. Well, loyalty certainly pays off.

The Flyers sent Fisher a thank-you message for his die-hard Flyers fandom, and on Saturday, Fisher was invited to the game against the Bruins. Sure, the Flyers may have lost, 3-1, but the little fan also got the VIP experience and met captain Claude Giroux after the game. When the two were introduced, I hear, Kohlsen responded, with shock, "You're Giroux!" The ever-polite Kohlsen gave Giroux a thank-you card with his name across the top. The ever-adorable Giroux responded, "Now I have your autograph, too!"

Chew-ed out

You won't hear Michael Chew on MORE 101.1's morning show anymore. Blaise Howard, MORE's general manager and vice president, confirmed that Chew is no longer with the station. He ended his run Jan. 5.

Howard said there are no plans to replace Chew. Jenn Ryan and Bill Tafrow (along with a boost from NBC10's Bill Henley) will hold down mornings.

"It's really an effort just to get back to more music for the future," Howard told me. "We feel good about that stance and we feel good about the people we have in."

OUT AND ABOUT

* Sound of Philadelphia icon Kenny Gamble and wife, Faatimah, were spotted taking in the opening night of "Motown: The Musical" at the Academy of Music last week. But the Gambles weren't the only hot names in attendance. Councilwomen Marian Tasco and Cindy Bass, WDAS's Patty Jackson, Old School 100.3's (and Kenny's ex!) Dyana Williams, WURD's Stephanie Renee and Fox 29's Joyce Evans all enjoyed the jukebox song-and-dancer, which runs through Sunday.

Megahit French play "Le Clan des Divorcees" (it has sold more than 3 million tickets in 10 years) is getting an American remake, and wouldn't you know it? It's got Philly written all over it. "The Divorcee's Club," about three women living together postdivorce, will premiere Wednesday at the Penn's Landing Playhouse, starring South Jersey's Stephen Croce (cousin of musician Jim Croce) and Philly's own Aileen Goldberg and Kellie Cooper. Croce, who plays a woman in the show, originated the English-language part of Bridget while living abroad. For more info, go to plplayhouse.com.
