Allen Iverson wants to dunk divorce petition

The Iverson divorce - a strange, postmodern form of emotional musical chairs - has taken another strange zig. TMZ says Allen Iverson wants to stop - abort, annul, abrogate - divorce proceedings, sputtering on since March 2010, when estranged wife Tawanna first filed papers. In court documents cited by TMZ, the former Sixers megastar requests the court to chuck Tawanna's divorce petition because he and Tawanna revived their union between November 2011 and February 2012, proving that their marriage is not "irretrievably broken," as Tawanna claimed in 2010.

The couple "resumed their marital relationship, cohabiting, having sexual relations, and holding themselves out as husband and wife," claims Allen.

The latest drama comes two weeks after Tawanna asked the court to order AI to turn over all his financial records - and a detailed list of all the women he has slept with during their marriage. Allen, 36, and Tawanna, together (off and on) since their high school days in Hampton, Va., married in August 2001. They have five children.

No comment yet from either party.

Whitney Houston evidence swiped?

A Whitney Houston confidant claims he cleaned up the Beverly Hilton hotel suite where Houston was found dead on Feb. 11 before police arrived.

Raffles van Exel describes himself on his LinkedIn page as "a highly respected entertainment consultant/producer" who has worked for Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle, and Ray Charles. He tells Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, in excerpts translated and posted by Celebuzz.com, that "the room had to be emptied. â ¦ Someone had to do it."

In an ingenious/self-serving bit of coy mischief, the Dutch-born van Exel does not specify what items he removed or destroyed.

One imagines that's supposed to make us conclude van Exel removed crazy, scandalous stuff, including drugs. Police found no drugs, even though the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office says Houston's accidental drowning was the effect "of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."

Van Exel sounds like an honorable, decent chap. According to Forbes.com, he may be the person who leaked photos of Houston's now-infamous hotel room and a pic, published by the National Enquirer, natch, showing Houston in her burial casket.

Will Smith's tweet not Smith's

A tweet falsely attributed to Philly's proudest son, megastar Will Smith, went viral this week, causing consternation in the hearts of some diehard Smith fans. "WE live in America where a girl that threw flour on Kim Kardashian was arrested on site. But the man who KILLED Trayvon Martin is still free," reads the tweet, referring to the racially charged killing of the 17-year-old African American high school student in Florida. The tweet is ascribed to @RealWillSmith, whose profile includes a headshot of Smith. But according to the Hollywood Reporter, that account belongs to some random dude in Nashville.

A Chaka Khan tribute to Trayvon

Chaka Khan has been so moved by the Trayvon Martin case she has gathered together a gaggle of artists to record a music video remake of her 2007 song "Super Life" in his memory, says USAToday.com. Artists include Eric Benét, Kelly Price, Kenny Lattimore, Angela Bassett, Terry Crews, and Boris Kodjoe.

'DWTS' N2N mesh mess

Ever worn N2N mesh undies? Me neither. William Levy has. The Huffington Post says a tempest in a teapot has erupted around the Dancing With the Stars contestant following revelations that he appears very nude, and very masculine, in a 2007 ad for the teeny-tiny underpants. Seems the DWTS suits knew about the ad all along. "It's not like he was involved in a crime or made X-rated porn," an ABC insider tells the online journal.

Nadya "Octomom" Suleman says she's not ashamed of earning a reported $10,000 to support her 14 children by posing nearly nude for the European magazine Closer. "I'm doing that because I need to feed my kids," TMZ quotes the former reality star. "I need to pay the bills. And I'm still very cognizant of the repercussions of my choices."
