To offer simplified log-ins for clients worldwide, Wayne, Pa.-based cloud strategy company Evolve IP has acquired Clearlogin, an identity authentication technology provider based in Mountainside, N.J. Akin to the recent Google acquisition of Bitium and the SAP purchase of Gigya, the purchase will allow Evolve IP to offer Clearlogin's "easiest to use, zero-friction identity and access management platform" as a service to Evolve IP clients. A functional integration will "take log-in pain away from end users and IT administrators" when deploying Evolve's multiple cloud applications and cloud communications services, said Evolve IP in its announcement Tuesday. Among those apps and services are identity management, disaster recovery, contact centers, IP phone systems/unified communications, virtual desktops and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service.) With more than 350 employees worldwide, Evolve IP's integrating "OneCloud" service strategy is currently embraced by more than 1,500 enterprises and 350,000 users in the health, finance, veterinary, legal, insurance, construction, education, technology, travel, and retail realms. Clearlogin, founded in 2014, serves more than 250,000 users, securely provisioning and monitoring their identities "across more than 4,000 of the most common applications." Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
