Phila.-area investors commit $1.6M to photo venture

Preclick Corp., a New Jersey photo software and Web services company, said today it has raised $1.6 million from three angel investor groups in the Philadelphia area.

Preclick Corp., a New Jersey photo software and Web services company, said today it has raised $1.6 million from three angel investor groups in the Philadelphia area.

They are Robin Hood Ventures, Mid-Atlantic Angel Group and Lore Associates. SJF Ventures in New York also participated.

Preclick, founded in 2001 and based in Atlantic Highlands, Monmouth County, offers free software to help consumers share, save and print their photos at home or in stores.

Preclick raised $1.5 million in venture capital in 2005. The company said it makes software for digital photos and provides Web services for Wal-Mart, Hewlett-Packard, Costco, 3M, Sandisk, DotPhoto and other firms. Consumers can obtain the free software at preclick.com.
