Peruvian author claims 'Frozen' plagiarized her book

Real life ice princesses with super-ice-powers who build their own ice castles and almost destroy the world in an ice-y furor truly do exist…kind of. OK, not at all. But that is, in essence, what author Isabella Tanikumi is claiming. She’s filed a $250 million lawsuit against Disney for plagiarizing her autobiography to make the cult favorite “Frozen.”

Real-life ice princesses with super-ice-powers who build their own ice castles and almost destroy the world in an ice-y furor truly do exist…kind of. OK, not at all. But that is, in essence, what author Isabella Tanikumi is claiming. She's filed a $250 million lawsuit against Disney for plagiarizing her autobiography by making the cult favorite "Frozen."

Tanikumi disputes the claim that "Frozen" is based on "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen, and alleges instead that the film used her life story to create the movie's premise, according to TMZ.

The book, "Yearnings of the Heart," follows Tanikumi through her life in Peru, the death of her sister, and "a dialogue with her long lost love, Eduardo."

In contrast, "Frozen" follows sister Anna as she treks through blizzard conditions to bring sister Elsa back to their icy kingdom. And, in a shocking twist of Disney events, neither of the female protagonists falls in love with the "good guy." So much for a long lost love story.

This is definitely an instance in which Tanikumi should just let it go. (Sorry.)
