Brace yourselves for a samurai-themed 'Star Wars' movie from the Superman guy

Zack Snyder—you know him as the director of 300 and The Watchmen and whatever a Sucker Punch is—is reportedly already set to tackle Star Wars in conjunction with Disney.

Zack Snyder—you know him as the director of 300 and The Watchmen and whatever a Sucker Punch is—is reportedly already set to tackle Star Wars in conjunction with Disney. Vulture reports that the film will take place sometime after the events of Episode VI, but will not be a part of the new trilogy set to start up in 2015. Snyder currently has his hands full with the new Superman prequel, Man of Steel, but is said to be prepping the standalone Star Wars film, which will be a take on Akira Kurosawa's 1954 classic Seven Samurai.
