76ers 'really, really, really want Andrew Wiggins'

A league source told the Daily News this afternoon that the 76ers "really, really, really want Andrew Wiggins" and are doing all they can to try and trade for the No. 1 overall pick.

UPDATE [6:15 p.m.] - According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo!, the Sixers are no longer pursuing a deal with Cleveland for the top pick in tonight's draft:

Philadelphia is no longer pursuing a deal with Cleveland for the No. 1 pick, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

FROM EARLIER: A league source told the Daily News this afternoon that the 76ers "really, really, really want Andrew Wiggins" and are doing all they can to try and trade for the No. 1 overall pick, which is currently owned by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Sixers are slated to pick third and 10th in the first round of tonight's NBA draft and also own five picks in the second round.

It has long been rumored that the Sixers had interest in the 6-8 wingman from Kansas. Their interest may have gotten greater when Kansas center Joel Embiid suffered a fractured bone in his right foot last week. Wiggins, Jabari Parker and Embiid were widely considered the top three players in a deep draft.

An NBA source tells Tom Moore of Calkins Media that, in exchange for the No. 1 overall pick, the Cavaliers are asking for the 76ers' No. 3, No. 10 and No. 32 picks. If the 76ers stay at No. 3, Moore says Dante Exum seems the likely pick.

Tonight's draft will begin at 7.
