Mychal Kendricks, Darren Sproles, Jason Kelce, Chris Polk all return to practice

The Eagles returned to practice on Tuesday with positive news: linebacker Mychal Kendricks, running back Darren Sproles, center Jason Kelce, and running back Chris Polk were all back at practice. Brad Smith was the only player absent.

It's too early in the week to know their status for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Coach Chip Kelly said he did not know if the Eagles will need to make a move at running back, which could be a sign that the Eagles think Sproles and/or Polk will play.

"They'll run around here today, and we'll make some decisions," Kelly said.

Marcus Smith will stay at inside linebacker for now, even with Kendricks back. The Eagles are still figuring out Kendricks' health and how to use Smith.

As for Kelce, the Eagles will go slowly with him. He's not taking part in all the drills.

"He's just coming off the surgery, so I hope he ties his shoes right and put him in individuals and see what he can do," Kelly said.

Guard Evan Mathis will return to practice on Wednesday. He is not eligible to play until Nov. 10, so the Eagles will also slow him back.
