Food trucks and fun on City Avenue

The Food Spot, a new program of the City Avenue Special Services District, will bring food trucks, live entertainment, and wellness programs to the City Avenue community, with monthly events taking place from May through November 2014.

The program will take place in conjunction with the Bala Cynwyd Farmers' Market in the parking lot of 1 Belmont Ave in Bala Cynwyd.

The monthly events will feature two rotating gourmet food trucks, live entertainment such as jugglers, musicians, and pop-up theater, smoothie sampling, yoga demonstrations and much more, along with the fresh and local food from the farmers and vendors at the Bala Cynwyd Farmers' Market. The first Food Spot on May 29 will include the food trucks Street Food and Bonjour Creperie.

The series of The Food Spot events will take place on:

• Thursday, May 29, 2014, Noon – 3 PM

• Thursday, June 12, 2014, 4 – 7 PM

• Thursday, July 17, 2014 Noon – 3 PM

• Thursday, September 11, 2014, 4 – 7 PM

• Thursday, October 9, 2014, Noon – 3 PM

• Thursday, November 6, 2014, Noon – 3 PM
