Common Pleas Judge Ellen Ceisler earlier today dropped her gavel on the fiasco that was Philadelphia's attempt to impose an ex post facto tax on lap dances.
After hearing a bit of testimony, Ceisler surprised the court by cutting off the hearing and issuing her sensible ruling. The city's own Tax Review Board had previously rejected the tax.
Maybe the Nutterites will find a better case to pursue. Like suing the "entertainers" who violated their contract by dropping F-bombs and other obscenities during the July 4 concert.
