A two-alarm tire fire disrupted traffic — including a temporary shutdown of the Betsy Ross Bridge in both directions — in the city’s Port Richmond section late Monday afternoon, officials said.

The blaze erupted shortly before 5 p.m. at Lewis and Richmond Streets, officials said. No injuries were reported.

The fire was declared under control at 6:55 p.m.

The Betsy Ross Bridge was temporarily closed because of smoke. All lanes were reopened around 6:20 p.m.

Traffic also was slowed on I-95 in the area.
