A 42-year-old Gloucester City man has died of assault injuries he sustained last month in Camden, authorities said.

Ryan Reven was pronounced dead at 2:31 p.m. Friday at Cooper University Hospital, according to a release issued Saturday by Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Police Chief Scott Thomson.

According to their statement, Reven was assaulted shortly before 4 p.m. on Jan. 19 near Sixth and Auburn Streets in Camden. Seen leaving that area on foot, a visibly injured Reven was found by police a brief time later and taken to Cooper, where he remained until his death.

Gerald Feigin, the medical examiner for Gloucester, Camden, and Salem Counties, determined Saturday that Reven died from blunt-force trauma to the chest, the statement said. No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
