New this week: The Invention of Lying
**1/2 (out of four stars) In this comedy, Ricky Gervais stars as a screenwriter who is the lone fibber in a world where everyone else has no choice but to tell the truth. This cameo-studded satire, also starring Jennifer Garner and Louis C.K., has its moments until it turns sappy. PG-13 (profanity, sexual and drug references)
