Friday’s South Jersey roundup: Brooke Hampton’s 16 strikeouts lead Westampton Tech past Maple Shade

Brooke Hampton pitched a complete game, allowed only one hit and had 16 strikeouts to lead Westampton Tech past Maple Shade, 4-0, on Friday. Jenna Goodman went 3-for-4 with a homer and one RBI. Aeryn Gilmore had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

Mary Jane Calascione went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to help Hammonton beat Absegami, 4-0. Ashlynne Scardino had seven strikeouts to earn the win.

Gianna Guerrero hit a triple and had two RBIs as Rancocas Valley topped Clearview, 14-0. Madison Simone and Danielle Quinones each doubled and had two RBIs. Selena Aponte added three RBIs.

Diana Parker recorded nine strikeouts in Delsea’s 3-1 victory over Highland. Alexis Harkins homered.

Carli Melchiorre hit a double and had three RBIs to lead St. Joseph past Wildwood Catholic, 7-3. Starr Barker had a double and two RBIs.

Steven Shaffer’s 14 strikeouts helped Burlington City top Bordentown, 3-2. He also went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Chris Pierce had one hit and two RBIs, and Ian Onori had a double.
