The Rolling Stones reschedule postponed Lincoln Financial Field show

Start him up all over again.

Earlier this year, the Rolling Stones postponed the entirety of their 2019 No Filter tour, including a scheduled date at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, because Mick Jagger was not medically cleared to perform.

There was much concern among Stones fans about the condition of the 75-year-old frontman, who in April had to undergo what turned out to be a minimally invasive heart valve replacement surgery known as TAVP, for trans catheter aortic valve replacement.

That health setback meant that all the No Filter dates, including a show at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, had to be put off. But the surgery was an apparent success, and just how quickly the legendary frontman has seemed to make a full recovery was evident yesterday when the singer posted a video of himself doing an aerobically challenging dance workout, demonstrated that he does indeed still have moves like Jagger.

That was a teaser, it turns out, for an announcement that the entire No Filter tour is back on. The original Linc date of June 4 has now been rescheduled for July 23.

The tour now starts on June 21 in Chicago and makes up for the Jazz Fest date with a July 14 show at the Superdome before arriving in Philadelphia.

Tickets sold for the original Linc show will be honored. No exchanges are necessary. Ticket buyers who can’t make the new date can get a refund through Ticketmaster and can have their questions answered through the ticket seller’s online support site.

The Stones last played Philadelphia on their 50 & Counting tour at the Wells Fargo Center in 2013. the band released an underrated album of blues covers called Blue & Lonesome in 2016 and then hinted that new music was on the way, but none has been forthcoming.
