More thunderstorms in Philly today?

Another round of showers and thunderstorms are likely to move through the Philadelphia region today, the National Weather Service says.

A slow-moving cold front should trigger strong isolated storms, foreasters say. Some of today's storms could produce heavy rainfall and potential flooding.

"Because the thunderstorms will be slow moving, poor drainage and low-lying flooding are both likely to occur," the weather service says.

Strong wind gusts are also possible.

Forecasters say there's an 80-percent chance of precipitation in Philadelphia, with rain most likely between 3 and 5 p.m.

Today's storms come after Philadelphia has seen record rainfall twice this month, and golfers and spectators got soaked at last week's U.S. Open in Ardmore.
