Early last year, word got out that Chester County's M. Night Shyamalan had begun work on a locally shot thriller tentatively dubbed Sundowning. Now, with the film picked up by Universal Pictures under the name The Visit, we're finally getting our first look.

Serving as Shyamalan's first thriller since 2010's Devil, The Visit revolves around two children visiting their grandparents — which, of course, seems normal enough. However, as the trailer above illustrates, something is a little, well, off about nan and pop.

"Bedtime here is 9:30," the old man tells his grandchildren. "It's probably best you two shouldn't come out of your room after that."

Which, as it turns out, is good advice. Come nightfall, grandma and grandpa can be found scratching the walls of the house, running from room to room, and generally behaving like horror movie versions of themselves — behavior that continues into the next day. And, apparently, it gets worse.

"Would you mind getting inside the oven to clean it?" the grandmother asks of her granddaughter at one point. Whatever happens after that, we can assume it isn't good.

Starring Deanna Dunagan and Peter McRobbie, The Visit is currently set for a Sept. 11 release.
