DJ Jon Gosselin’s $20,000 Atlantic City gig appears to have gone well

Back in April, DJ Jon Gosselin booked a gig at Harrah's Pool After Dark in Atlantic City worth a reported $20,000. And, as it turns out, that event went, well, swimmingly.

It all went down this past Saturday, with AC reporter Whitney Ullman catching up with Gosselin to talk about the gig, his newfound career, and the ongoing custody battle with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin. And though Gosselin wasn't keen on speaking about his family life, the DJ gig was fair game.

"It's amazing," Gosselin told Ullman of the gig. "I'm really happy that Harrah's would invite us to come play. Really excited to be here [and] that they would focus on my ability and not just who I was."

Lucky for Gosselin, the crowd appears to have done just that. Looking through photos of the set, a packed dance floor shows prominently — a stark contrast to his first DJ gig at Brewsters Pub in Maple Shade, where one lone woman cut a rug to Gosselin's tunes.

Despite the apparent success of the gig, though, Gosselin seems to be keeping an eye on politics in 2015 — which, of course, may go back to his contemplation about running for office as a Pennsylvania state rep.

"I'm passionate about politics," Gosselin said Saturday. "I've been following the presidential campaigns and stuff like that, and who's going to run because that greatly affects all of us as U.S. citizens, so we have to be aware of all that stuff."

Gosselin also went on to say that "we all have to band together as U.S. citizens" to fight the threat ISIS presents to us as a people. But not necessarily during one of his DJ gigs — there's dancing to do.

"Have a good time," he told Ullman. "I'm DJ Jon Gosselin now — and forevermore."
