A few ways to spend your week in (and out of) Philly.

A few ways to spend your week in (and out of) Philly.

Monday, Oct. 26

It's one thing to take a haunted tour on foot. It's another to hop on a segway and face the horror on wheels. You'll be cruising around to some supposedly spirit-infested spots like Edgar Allan Poe National historic Site (532 N. 7th St.) and Independence Hall (520 Chestnut St.) to search for ghosts and to hear some historically spooky stories. The Philadelphia Segway Ghost Tour departs at 4 p.m. (through Thursday and then at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from the Independence Visitor Center (1 N. Independence Mall West).

The National Constitution Center's (525 Arch St.) Liberty Medal Ceremony, honoring His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama kicks off at 5 p.m. and includes a presentation from A-lister Richard Gere. Oh, and tickets are free.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

The Woody Allen-penned "Bullets Over Broadway," the tale of a financially desperate playwright who makes a deal with a mobster, opens at the Academy of Music (Broad and Locust Streets) at 7:30 p.m. The show continues through Sunday.

Laugh with him, laugh at him — just laugh when you see comic Matt Braunger at Johnny Brenda's (1201 N. Frankford Ave.). The former MADtv cast member and recurring guest star on NBC's "Up All Night" uses embarrassing and peculiar events from his own life as fodder for his stand up, which is what he'll be doing at this 9 p.m. show.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

The Philadelphia Museum of Art (2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway) now has a comic book. Inspired by exhibit "The Wrath of the Gods: Masterpieces by Rubens, Michelangelo and Titan," artists and writers were able to craft Prometheus Eternal. Join artists Bill Sienkiewicz, Yuko Shimizu, and David Mack and Josh O'Neill, publisher of Locust Moon Press for a book signing and panel starting at 6:30 p.m.

As a part of Archives Month Philly, a multi-week initiative showcasing historical and cultural collections, various films donated from institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, Hagley Museum and Library, Penn Museum and more will be screened at PhilaMOCA (531 N. 12th St.) at 7 p.m. Selections include home movies, documentaries and the Muppets.

Thursday, Oct. 29

Live a classic game show when "The Price Is Right Live" comes to the Keswick Theatre (291 N. Keswick Ave., Glenside), giving audience members (and non-ticketholders, too) the chance to win some sweet prizes. The show starts at 8 p.m.

"Tablao Philly" is a flamenco, wine and tapas event aimed at recreating Spanish tablaos of the 18th and 19th century where audiences would gather to watch dance performances and partake in merrymaking. Philly's all-female flamenco dance company Pasion Y Arte will perform with another ensemble, De Luna a Lunares and special guest La Meira at Asian Arts Initiative (1219 Vine St.) for a 9 p.m. performance. (Additional performances are at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.)

Friday, Oct. 30

After you spend a night at the Arden Theatre (40 N. 2nd St.) seeing their latest production, "Metamorphoses," join Philadelphia Media Network for a dessert reception and an onstage panel with the performers led by the Inquirer's David Stearns. It starts at 8 p.m.

It's Mischief Night — get into a little trouble at Yakitori Boy (211 N. 11th St.). Come dressed up in your scariest costume for a chance to win a cash prize and, of course, stay for the karaoke and seasonal cocktails. They open at 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 31

Things will be getting loud and freaky at Underground Arts (1200 Callowhill St.) for TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb's Halloween Costume Ball and Rock 'N' Roll Murdershow. Starting at 8 p.m., bands including your hosts, Pine Barons, Red 40 and the Last Groovement, will take the stage for eager, costumed dancing fools.

There's no other way to spend Halloween night than at Making Time's PURE HALLOWEEN, a night of dancing (Dave P. & Sammy Slice, Mike Z. & Dave Pak, Rocktits!, Broadzilla and Greg D. have you covered there), open bar with free Tecate and Heineken from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the christening of Making Time's new home, 714 (714 W. Girard Ave.). You'll be partying all night long.

Sunday, Nov. 1

Those fall leaves won't stay bright and vibrant forever. Bring the family to Bartram's Garden (5400 Lindbergh Blvd.) to explore the lay of the land and create seasonal art starting at 1 p.m.

The whimsical and quirky Ra Ra Riot haven't released new tunes in a hot minute (a.k.a. 2013) but they're kicking off a short tour here at Boot and Saddle (1131 S. Broad St.) with help from Wilmington's Teen Men. Doors are at 8 p.m. for the 21-plus show.
