Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!

For grownups: 21-plus folks can head to Taproom on 19th (2400 S. 19th St.) for burgers, hot dogs, kielbasa, veggies and a Neshaminy Creek Brewing tap takeover. The grills get going and the kiddie pool will be filled starting at 1 p.m.

For a trip on the high seas: Feast your eyes on the marine animals off the coast of Cape May during this three-hour whale and dolphin cruise departing at 1 p.m. from the Miss Chris Marina (1218 Wilson Dr.).

For a flick: As a part of the Philadelphia Film Society's "Sight and Soundtrack" series, where films and documentaries that focus on music are screened, 42nd Street will be featured. It's a 2 p.m. matinee at the Roxy Theater (2023 Sansom St.).

For a barbecue: What would the day be without a little grilling? Let Sesame Place (100 Sesame Rd., Langhorne) do the work at a 5 p.m. BBQ with traditional fare and appearances from your favorite Sesame Street characters.

For teamwork: If you enjoy a good surprise and are confident in the curating skills of King Britt and HPrizm, tonight's The Buddy System should be on your to-do list. Two unannounced international musicians will pair up to craft a musical soundtrack from 8 p.m. to midnight at Johnny Brenda's (1201 N. Frankford Ave.).
