It's easy to feel optimistic with an entertainment outlook like this.

For a festival: Downtown Dover's weeklong Dover Days continues today with a wealth of activities including a moon bounce village and food fair at Legislative Mall (Legislative Ave. and MLK Jr. Blvd. N.) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

For a sleepover: Take your Franklin Institute (222 N. 20th St.) experience into all hours of the night. Kids can camp out in the museum and check out the exhibits, planetarium, flight simulator and more all during after hours. Arrive at 6:15 p.m. and prepare to have your gear gone by 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. (But you can hang around until noon.)

For primetime to real life: Stars from ABC's "Nashville," Clare Bowen, Chris Carmack, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Aubrey Peeples, will perform songs from the show at the Tower Theater (19 S. 69th St.) for a 7:30 p.m. show.

For a competition: Hear top-notch poetry from local wordsmiths at the Pigeon's final poetry slam of the season at PhilaMOCA (531 N. 12th St.), starting at 8:30 p.m. Audience members will help decide which performer will move on to the National Poetry Slam in Oakland.

For comedy: Four local stand up comedians, Rachel Fogletto, Christian Alsis, Jake Mattera and Sidney Grant, try to "save the universe" in this comedy showcase at Philly Improv Theater (2030 Sansom St.) starting at 10:30 p.m.
