#PhillyFive Things to Do: March 14, 2015

Start your day the fun way.

Start your day the fun way.

For a floral experience: Longwood Gardens' (1001 Longwood Rd.) Orchid Extravaganza gets kid-friendly with activity and discovery stations positioned throughout the exhibit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For an atypical venue: It's not every day that UK singer/songwriter Olly Murs comes to the Philadelphia Zoo (3400 W. Girard Ave.) to perform. Today is one of those days. The show will take place at 1 p.m. on the zoo's Impala Lawn.

For a festive find: All throughout Downtown Narberth (corner of Forrest Avenue and Haverford Avenue), various shops have leprechauns hidden within the confines of their stores. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., kids can go on the hunt for ten of them, get treats, hear Irish music and stories and more.

For a good cause: Party it up to benefit the Delaware Humane Association at the 9th Annual Muttini Mixer at World Café Live at the Queen (500 N. Market St., Wilmington, Del.). Starting at 7 p.m., pet owners and their furry companions over food, drinks, music and silent auction.

For a fusion of sounds: Revisit the club sounds from Manchester and Manhattan during the late '70s and early '80s at Franky Bradley's (1320 Chancellor St.) for a dance party with DJ Ed Christof repping Manhattan and David Tidey covering Manchester. The grooves get going at 10 p.m.
