#PhillyFive Things to Do: April 30, 2015

Thursday is the new Friday.

Thursday is the new Friday.

For an opening: Finally, a sign of warmer times! Morgan's Pier (221 N. Columbus Blvd.) opens for the season at 4 p.m. this evening and DJ Eddie Tully gets things moving starting at 9:30 p.m.

For a combo: Work up an appetite with an hour of yoga followed by a cooking class and meal featuring fresh ingredients. The class runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Full and Happy (N 15th St. between Fairmount and Spring Garden).

For a catwalk strut: Fashion design students at Philadelphia University are set to show off their print, woven and knit runway items at the Philadelphia University Fashion Show, produced by fashion merchandising and management students. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. at Moulin at Sherman Mills (3502 Scotts Lane).

For a rare performance: Leonard Bernstein's seldom performed MASS, combining elements of Broadway, religious compositions and contemporary aspects, will be presented by the Philadelphia Orchestra, Westminster Symphonic Choir, Temple University Concert Choir, Rock school for Dance, students from School District of Philadelphia and American Boychoir. Tonight's show begins at 8 p.m. at the Kimmel Center (Broad and Spruce Streets).

For rooftop season: Stratus Rooftop Lounge (433 Chestnut St.) kicks off their spring and summer season with a swanky rooftop party from 8 p.m. until midnight with food and drink specials and live entertainment.
