Mushrooms and margs, everybody!

Mushrooms and margs, everybody!

For families: Celebrate Earth Day at the Schuylkill Center (8480 Hagy's Mill Rd.) with nature walks, pond hikes, live animal shows and art from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during Naturepalooza.

For a class: Be a fun guy (or gal) and learn how to grow your own mushrooms at Greensgrow Farms (2501 E. Cumberland St.). You'll walk away with skills and a mushroom-growing kit including everything you need to yield up to two pounds of mushrooms. Class begins at noon.

For a drink: Taste some of the city's best margaritas at today's Margarita March. Check in begins at noon at Cavanaugh's River Deck (417 N. Columbus Blvd.). You can then trek in any direction you please to Reef (605 S. 3rd St.), Paddy Whacks (150 South St.) and other bars.

For a collaboration: The traditional First Person Arts Story Slam gets musical tonight when Curtis Institute of Music students show off their tales set to personally composed works that accompany each story. The show begins at 8 p.m. at the Curtis Institute's Gould Rehearsal Hall (1616 Locust St.).

For a lights out ride: When the sun goes down, hop aboard a trolley departing at 8:30 p.m. at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth (Washington and Ocean Streets, Cape May, N.J.) to take a 30-minute tour exploring what Victorian Cape May residents did after dark.
