Networking with other business professionals is key to success. Throughout the month of April, students and grads can meet and greet with Philadelphia's industry leaders of all trades.

Grab your resume and business cards and check out these events.

Ecoexpress.org, the Philadelphia Math and Science Coalition, and CityCoHo present Spring into Sustainability on Monday, April 13. From 4:30 to 6:45 p.m., guests will receive free teacher sessions, workshops about environmental technology advancements, water quality, the value of trees, and food production systems. Following the discussion, take a tour of an eco-friendly office space, and enjoy a screening of the latest film from the GrenTreks Network. The event will take place at CityCoHo (2401 Walnut St.).

On Tuesday, April 14 the Young Professional Network of Philadelphia will host a class entitled: Bridging the Generation Gap with Dale Carnegie. This workshop will teach you how to communicate professionally and effectively with different generations in business. The conversation starts at 5:30 p.m. and takes place at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (200 South Broad St.).

Make new connections on Tuesday, April 14 at Hotel Monaco's Stratus Lounge (433 Chestnut St.) during a Professional Networking Happy Hour. From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., enjoy menu items and cocktail selections from the bar, plus live music by DJ Get Em Kid. A portion of the proceeds go towards the Autism Integrated Care & Research Fund at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The Network After Work group invites business professionals to City Tap House University City (3925 Walnut St.) on Wednesday, April 15 for a monthly happy hour. Guests can meet and connect with folks from various industries. The event starts at 6 p.m. and includes light appetizers and one complimentary cocktail.

On Wednesday, April 15 the Center for Professional Student Development at Temple University presents the Third Annual Work for Your Wardrobe. From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., students can network with fellow young professionals at the Undergraduate Commons building (1801 Liacouras Walk) and enjoy a fashion show highlighting professional styles ranging from business casual to CEO attire.

Every third Friday of the month (April 17) the Philly Homebrew Club (1447 N American St.) hosts a meeting about the brewing industry, and includes beer samples made by the club members. This is a great opportunity for those who may be considering a life of brewing. The discussion starts at 7:30 p.m.

Learn how to score big on media campaigns on Wednesday, April 22 as the Philly Ad Club presents Digital Measurement/ROI. The lecture includes a panel of speakers from the 3MS, a new cross-industry plan created from the American Association of Advertising Agencies and will cover how media is received by consumers, and the numerous platforms they can be reached from. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and takes place at the Independence Visitors Center (1 N Independence Mall).

Show off your hardworking portfolio on Wednesday, April 29 as Temple University's Media and Communication Department presents Ripe for the Picking, a showcase in all things advertising. From 6 to 8 p.m., students can hand their recent work to industry professionals at Alter Hall (1801 Liacouras Walk) for a critique discussion. Business casual is recommended.

Students who major in contracting are encouraged to join SEPTA's Rebuilding for the Future discussion on Thursday, April 30. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., SEPTA's Headquarters (1234 Market St.) will host a panel about the advancement of their transportation systems and platform projects. This event is free so register here.

Although BarCamp takes place on Saturday, May 2, the event will sell out by May 1 so here's a heads up. Taking place at Temple University's Annenberg Hall (2020 N 13th St.), this annual program will discuss topics such as media strategy and the efficiency of new platforms of news delivery. The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and includes breakfast, lunch, and happy hour.
