Iron Chef Jose Garces' Amada (217-219 Chestnut St.) turns 10 years old on Thursday, Oct. 15 . In celebration of the restaurant's decade of service, Garces is throwing Amadaversary – a week-long event of specials beginning Sunday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 18.

Here's what to expect:

From Sunday, Oct. 11 through Friday, Oct. 16, five of the chef's locations will offer a $39 tasting menu with a complimentary glass of champagne or wine. Restaurants include: Amada, Tinto (114 S. 20th St.), Distrito (3945 Chestnut St.), Garces Trading Company (1111 Locust St.), and the Olde Bar (125 Walnut St.). Proceeds from the dinners will go toward the Garces Foundation.

On Sunday, Oct. 18 Amadaversary takes it to the streets for a paella cook-off. From noon to 6 p.m., 2nd and Market streets give spotlight to three restaurants as they battle it out for the best-tasting dish. Participants include: Amada, Distrito, and Garces Events.

Following the cook-off, Amada will host a VIP party on Sunday, Oct. 18. From 8 to 11 p.m., the event will feature 11 chefs who recently worked with Jose Garces. Attendees will get an exclusive taste of each selection from names like Kevin Sbraga, MacGregor Mann, Jimmy Ciampaglia, and Tim Spinner. Call 215-625-2450 for more info.

In addition to the discounted tasting menus and events, each Garces restaurant will surprise guests with free giveaways including complimentary dinners, cookbooks, culinary workshop passes, and more swag.
