Tweet and Instagram your way to a free dinner

Alex Boonphaya, chef/owner of the Thai BYOB Circles, wants to pack his dining room in Northern Liberties with 40 people at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15.

How much are a few Instagram shares, Facebook posts, and tweets worth to you?

Dinner, maybe?

Alex Boonphaya, chef/owner of the Thai BYOB Circles, wants to pack his dining room in Northern Liberties with 40 people at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 15.

The catch: All will eat for free if they post information and photos showcasing the experience on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram throughout the meal.

The four-course family-style meal will include stewed chicken feet with lemon chili broth; fried whitefish with steamed vegetables over sticky rice; fried tofu with Chinese watercress; and a taro root curry, which will debut during this event.

Questions, questions: How will Boonphaya monitor 40 people's social-media traffic over the course of two hours? And what happens, say, if someone's phone dies? (There's a "server crashes" joke in here somewhere.) Or if the number of posts is deemed insufficient? Can you tweet or Instagram a tip? Is this stunt as out there as the one promising $1,000 worth of social-media coverage in exchange for dinner for a family of five?

On the plus side, Boonphaya will have new photos  to populate his Facebook page. It's also possible that Circles will trend (albeit briefly) on Twitter. Or that his Yelp score - now a meh 3.5 stars - will rise. (Or fall.)

To register, you must tweet #FeedMeOnJan15 and the number of people in your party (four maximum) at the hashtag @CirclesThai.
