SANKHYA Yoga hosts free yoga fest this July

We in Philly love our free yoga, who are we kidding, free everything is great, right? While I am sure many of you were bummed when you heard Wanderlust in the City won’t be coming to Philly this year, there is still good news on the horizon.

We in Philly love our free yoga, who are we kidding, free everything is great, right? While I am sure many of you were bummed when you heard Wanderlust in the City won't be coming to Philly this year, there is still good news on the horizon. SANKHYA Yoga School and Wellness Center is hosting Open Heart, a free yoga festival on Saturday, July 18.

Keirra Winters, owner of SANKHYA, told Philly.com that while each teacher has own vibe, all the classes during the festival will focus on poses to open up the heart chakra. "People will leave feeling incredible," she said.

SANKHYA recently moved from Northern Liberties to 413 Fairmount so it is a great time to check them out. Keep in mind that since the Open Heart Festival will be inside the studio, it will not be as big as Wanderlust in the City. On the plus side though, it will be air-conditioned!

"We wanted to host something low key, but still fun," Winters explained.

There are 5 classes planned and they will fill up fast so make sure you register as soon as possible. You should bring your own mat and a bottle of water, but there will be about 20 mats available to borrow at the studio if you forget yours. The link is here.
