Jenkintown Fitness Festival this Sunday

Is Sunday your fun day or day of relaxing before you head back into the hectic work week?

Is Sunday your fun day or day of relaxing before you head back into the hectic work week? Well, the Jenkintown Fitness Festival happening on the Piazza On The Square in Jenkintown this Sunday is offering you both fitness fun as well as some soothing meditation to help you face that Monday alarm clock. And best of all, it is FREE!

This new festival is the brainchild of Rachel Rubin from Fitness With Rachel and Shannon Goodman of Edge Dance Company.

"It is all about getting the community together and showing fun ways to enhance your well-being," Rubin told Philly.com.

From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Sunday, you can work out with Rubin, get flexible with yoga by MomentOm and reach for a higher state of being with meditation led by Soul Support. Dancers from Edge Dance Company will also be showcasing some of their moves for your entertainment.

Set up alongside the square will be other local businesses offering more fitness-related activities and information. Try out a surfboard workout and bring the kids for their own fun with activities led by Little Gym. You can also munch on nutritious snacks provided by Whole Foods in between the group classes.

There is no need to register for this free event. "Just come out. It will be a great experience," encouraged Rubin. Get more information here.
