Another life destroyed – almost – by allegedly reckless prescribing

A Philadelphia Inquirer story published on Philly.com last weekend about three men who died of drug addictions – and the physician whom their families allege got them hooked – has drawn a lively online discussion as well as heartrending emails from other parents who lost their children to overdoses of prescription drugs or heroin.
It also prompted a Chester County police officer to write a commentary in the West Chester Daily Local about his own brother's journey from pain developed on his job, to that same pain doctor and, eventually, to heroin.
