2. Schuylkill slayings: New details are emerging about the abduction of three men who were thrown into the Schuylkill River, killing two of them. Authorities on Thursday searched two homes in Southwest Philadelphia.

3. Casino closings: The Showboat Casino Hotel in Atlantic City is set to shut down this weekend. Revel says Sunday will be its last day of normal operations before shutting down next week.
