Here's your daily look at five stories we're following:
1. Police-involved shooting: A man is in critical condition after a police-involved shooting in Southwest Philadelphia. Circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
2. How Phila. family saved Jews during WWII: A documentary being screened tonight at the National Museum of American Jewish history shows how a family in Manila helped 1,300 Jews escape from the Nazis and get to the Philippines. "Rescue in the Philippines" tells the story of Herbert Frieder -- who moved to Elkins Park after World War II -- and his brothers.
3. Heroin ODs: Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato is slated to recognize two Seaside Heights police officers who have saved victims of heroin overdoses by treating them with Narcan.
