As you undoubtedly know by now, Tom Brady went down in today's Patriots-Chiefs game, and there are several reports that he's done for the season.
ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer said someone in the Patriots' locker room told him that Matt Cassel will be the team's quarterback the rest of the season.
Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver reports that Brady is expected to be out the rest of '08 with a torn ACL in his left knee. No such announcement has been made by the Patriots.
NBC's Peter King says he's been told the injury is a threat to the rest of Brady's season.
In more Eagles-related injury news, Cowboys running back Marion Barber left today's game against the Browns with bruised ribs. Barber didn't return after leaving in the second half, but part of that could have definitely been because the Cowboys were in firm control. They ended up beating Cleveland, 28-10. The Eagles, of course, face the Cowboys next Monday night in Dallas.
Didn't mean to bump my Eagles wrapup so soon, but the Brady news is obviously enormous.
