The Facebook Song

She's on top Down Under, but Kate Miller-Heidke isn't exactly a household hyphenate in this hemisphere. Online, however, she's struck a universal chord with the viral hit "Are You F------ Kidding Me? (The Facebook Song)," which tartly captures the incredulity one feels when friended by someone one hoped to never see again.

Miller-Heidke's 2008 debut album, Curioser, has been re-issued stateside, and reveals that there's substance to her cabaret pop, along with wit. There's more Miller-Heidke here, and Nicole Pensiero's preview from Friday's Inky of Miller-Heidke's show upstairs at the World Cafe Live on Sunday night is here.
