Springsteen To Play With The Roots

What would the E Street Band sound like with ?uestlove, instead of Max Weinberg, on drums?  That question will be kinda sorta answered tonight when Bruce Springsteen plays with The Roots  on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Springsteen will bring guitarist Steve Van Zandt along with him, and pianist Roy Bittan. The Boss is on Fallon for the full hour to push The Promise: The Making Of Darkness On The Edge Of Town, the fab new box and/or 2 CD collection that pulls from the sessions for his 1978 watershed album. Which probably means Black Thought won't be adding a freestyle to "Streets Of Philadelphia."  My review of The Promise from Tuesday's Inquirer is here.  A clip of Springsteen doing the goofy "Ain't Good Enough For You," which is on the DVD portion of the box, is below.
