It should be a killer headtrip at the Trocadero on Friday night, with the inspired pairing of 1960s Brazilian Tropicalia merry pranskers Os Mutantes and 2000s Los Angeles low-fi songwriting savant Ariel Pink and his band Haunted Graffiti, whose Before Today is one of the year's best. Above, that's Os Mutantes, whose comeback album Haih Or Amortecedor arived last year. Ariel Pink's "Menopause Man" and the trailer from an Os Mutantes documentary film is below. Steve Klinge's preview of the show from the Inquirer Weekend secion is here. And you can give a listen to the Os Mutantes show at the World Cafe Live last fall right here.
