Britax recalls 224,800 strollers for amputation hazard

The company's B-Agile, B-Agile Double and BOB Motion strollers were recalled because they pose a partial fingertip amputation hazard.

Britax recalled about 224,800 B-Agile, B-Agile Double and BOB Motion strollers in the United States and Canada because they pose a partial fingertip amputation hazard. The hinge on the stroller's folding mechanism can partially amputate consumers' fingertips, break their fingers or cause severe lacerations, among other injuries, when they press the release button while pulling on the release strap.

The company has received eight incident reports, including one partial fingertip amputation, one broken finger and severe finger lacerations.
