Zoo's orangutan is expecting

The Philadelphia Zoo announced this morning that its Sumatran orangutan Tua is expecting for the first time.

The Philadelphia Zoo announced this morning that its Sumatran orangutan Tua is expecting for the first time.

The 16-year-old Tua is due to give birth in October.

The Zoo says 13-year-old Sugi is the father.

Sumatran orangutans are critically endangered in the wild due to habitat destruction, the Zoo says in a statement.
