Inquirer staff reporter Naomi Nix reports:

Police are investigating the apparent beating death of a 41-year-old woman inside her North Philadelphia home.

Relatives said the woman’s 20-year-old son found her in a pool of blood and called police to her apartment home on the 600 block of North Marshall Street in Fairmount Manor about 7:15 this morning. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

The victim’s sister said the killer “bust her skull with a blunt object.”

She said the police are looking at the woman’s boyfriend as a possible suspect.
