Tanker grounded on the Delaware floats away

The Coast Guard says an oil tanker that came aground last night on the Delaware River has been floated away - with no damage to the ship, and no leakage of the 105,000 gallons of oil it carried.

The Coast Guard says an oil tanker that came aground last night on the Delaware River has been floated away - with no damage to the ship, and no leakage of the 105,000 gallons of oil it carried.

The Jill Jacob came ashore south of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. There were no injuries to crew and no damage to the ship and no pollution-causing spillage accrording to Coast Guard petty officer Alexander Castonguay.

The tanker was refloated between 6 and 6:30 a.m. today, and is now en route to Wilmington, Del.
