One dead, 2 hurt in Frankford bar shooting

A triple shooting early this morning at a local bar on in Frankford left one dead, Philadelphia police said.

A triple shooting early this morning at a local bar in Frankford left one dead, Philadelphia police said.

The shootings took place at 1:30 am inside the Irish Kitchen, 1257 Pratt Street, police said. A 25-year-old man who was shot in the stomach was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the back of the head and is in critical condition at Einstein Hospital. The other victim, in his 30s, is in stable condition at Hahnemann Hospital after a bullet struck his right leg.

Philadelphia Police Lt. Frank Vanore said the shootings are under investigation.

"Our initial information is a few people were taken in for questioning," he said.
