Nancy Grace: Show Me the Window!

On today’s ‘Good Morning America’, TV toughest talker demands to see the damage that Chris Brown left.

During an appearance on 'Good Morning America' earlier today to discuss a series of criminal cases, Nancy Grace went off on a strange unscripted tirade (see video below).

'Before I leave, on behalf of women everywhere, I demand to see the window that Chris Brown kicked out,' she bellowed to an obviously startled Robin Roberts. 'And I promise I'm not going to rip my shirt off and run into the street.'

The Dixie autocrat was referring to the incident last week on 'GMA' when Roberts pushed embattled singer Chris Brown to discuss a topic he clearly wanted to leave in the past: his 1999 assault on then companion Rihanna.

Off camera, Brown reportedly blew his top, screaming and cursing in his dressing room and allegedly smashing a window, before leaving the studio shirtless.

Now it was time for CNN's no-nonsense scourge to turn the tables on Roberts, steering the segment in an unexpected direction.

When the ABC anchor tried to get back to the planned discussion, Grace barked 'No comment? OK,' as if her passion for justice had once again been thwarted.

It was awfully adversarial. Did Grace really expect Roberts to get up  and lead her backstage with cameras trailing? Is it likely that in a week's time, a network would have neglected to repair a broken window overlooking Times Square? And even if the glass was still fractured, exactly what would this do 'for women everywhere'?

What do you think? Was Grace on a righteous crusade or just grandstanding?
