Gary Dourdan of 'CSI' fame popped for drugs

The Philly born actor was arrested Monday morning for possession of ecstasy

Actor Gary Dourdan, a Philly native who gained TV stardom as Warrick Brown on CSI, was arrested Monday morning in Los Angeles. Accroding to TMZ, police responded to a report that Dourdan had crashed his vehicle into two parked cars. Dourdan was arrested on drug possession charges after officers found pills identified as ecstasy on him.

The actor who grew up in Willingboro, N.J, was arrested with the same drug (as well as cocaine) back in 2008 when police in Palm Springs found him passed out in his car. At the time, Dourdan was on his way home from the Coachella music festival.

His release from CSI that same year after eight seasons on TV's top-ranked show reportedly grew out production concerns about his drug use. To revisit his character's stunning departure from the series, see video below.
